What’s new in Version 10.5?
100 new unique features and enhancements are available.
Free nesting for carton and sign & display in Packzimizer
- True shape nesting is the new technology in Packzimizer for imposing irregular shaped cartons, signs and displays on the substrates. Packzimizer saves material and operational cost for printing on various materials; filling even the voids.
- Additionally, automate Packzimizer stack and cut labels, and also roll-to-roll with Packzflow in CLOUDFLOW. The option interfaces to ERP/MIS by offering more flexibility in combining orders and SKU’s, and reports multiple impositions with a minimized run length and press uptime. The tools within the PACKZ editor adapt the imposition to specific print and finishing needs.
More automation with Content XML syntax and Pactions
-
- Content XML syntax now supports a wider range of barcodes, enabling the solution to accommodate even more e-commerce label and packaging requirements.
- Content XML generates artwork from XML markup language, integrating variable data from data management system seamlessly into artwork files ready for print.
- A multitude of action recording possibilities have been added to 10.5: the powerful server-free automation tool inside PACKZ is here to transform your workflow, saving your prepress team time and reducing errors.
-
Additional quality control features
-
- The new heat map in PACKZ is a powerful non-destructive and professional deformation solution which gives insights on repeatability of the embossing process. It also provides information on critical zones of the metal can and shrink/stretch sleeve.
- The cutting line definition in PACKZ 10.5 seamlessly supports multiple blocks with different designs inside the step-and-repeat. Together with smart automation tools like Pactions, it boosts the entire cutting line process, reduces manual labor associated with flexo plate making, and enhances the efficiency of the flexo plate maker like never before.
